Look, we don't get excited that easily - okay maybe we do - but it's not everyday you come across a filament that is qualified for 3d printing in outer space! Introducing Made in Space AstroABS, the exact same material used aboard the International Space Station, for the first ever 3d prints in space. No we're not making this up. We are very proud to be one of the first to offer this amazing fleet of 3D printing materials for makers on this planet.
Selected for use in NASA's 3D Printing in Zero-Gravity Technology Demonstration, this premium quality filament is spooled and ready for your 3d printer. Made In Space's filament is formulated for sustained precision 3D printing with a quality finish. This filament is made with strict dimensional accuracy, so you can rest assured that extrusion will be a smooth process.
This filament is compatible with ABS-capable 3D printers. ABS is one of the most common materials used in 3D printing. It is the same material used in Lego bricks and is an ideal material for printing strong, temperature resistant, usable 3D parts. Items made with ABS are very durable, withstand a wide range of temperatures, and tend to be more resilient and less 'brittle' than those made with PLA.
This high-quality filament has been qualified for use on the International Space Station and is the same filament that Made In Space uses for 3D printing in zero-gravity. The ABS filament comes in a lustrous "Natural" color and is surprisingly affordable.
Recommended Extrusion Temperature: 230ºC-240ºC
