TAZ 5 - a Massive Upgrade to LulzBot's Already Favored Behemoth.

The all new TAZ 5 is here. The critically-acclaimed line of 3D printers has quickly become one of the most desired and noted on the desktop market, allowing for industrial quality prints right at home. This time, the already versatile printer includes the LulzBot Hexgon all metal hot end, able to print at temperatures of up to 300 _C. This means you can print with virtually any material on the market today, including nylon, wood, metal, t-glase, HIPS and polycarbonate filament. But the goodness doesn't stop there. The TAZ 5 also features a brand new PEI print bed, which eliminates the need for tape and other adhesives to help your prints stick to the surface! We're confident this awesome machine will make you smile*.

The LulzBot TAZ was developed with open source hardware, meaning you will always be able to upgrade parts as techology advances within the industry. It's can also be used with any software, so the sky is the limit.

Large and In Charge.

Like it's predecessor, this high-powered printer has a solid metal, sturdy frame, and a very large print area, measured at 11.7" x 10.8" x 9.8" or 298mm x 275mm x 250mm. It also features a controllable heat bed, which heats up to 120 °C. Lots of room for activities.

Print With Any Filament.

With the addition of the Hexagon Tool Head, you basically have free reign over any filament of your choosing. So much freedom can be scary, but we think we can help. Check out all of our specialty materials to really get the party started. Bear in mind the only filament you may struggle with is flexible filament, and we suggest purchasing a separate FlexyDually Tool Head in this case.

Wireless Printing Comes Standard.

The LulzBot TAZ 5 features wireless printing through an SD Card with a diverse, multi-faceted graphic LCD controller - Never get caught up in wires again! Somtimes, the intricate designs that your imagination generates can take some time to print, especially with the precision that the TAZ 5 provides. With the ability to print via your SD Card, you now have the liberty to move about with your computer while your 3D printer works. The LCD controller screen is truly a great tool - it allows you to view and select files easily, making your printing process run all the more smooth.

Open Source Hardware.

LulzBot has its origins in open source - the first printer they made was a Prusa Mendel. They then refined and enhanced that design through several new products until they reached the TAZ 5. The benefit of having an open source 3D printer is that you can adopt the latest and greatest technology being developed across the 3D printing market. From experimental filament materials and open source 3D software, to new accessories like hot ends and print surfaces ?? experience the joy of user freedom!

Why Buy A LulzBot?

When it comes to customization LulzBot is king. If you don't like to be boxed in and you prefer to keep your options open, then a LulzBot is the right printer for you. The open build design of the LulzBot allows for easy and rapid customization and modification so that your machine can evolve and change to meet your needs. Changing parts is a snap with the LulzBot. That means that when technology changes in 3D printing you can easily upgrade and modify your machine. Additionally, one of the greatest things about the TAZ 5 is that it prints at an incredibly low layer height of .075mm. That means you can print parts that are structurally sound while maintaining aesthetic beauty. The TAZ 5 has a re-engineered drive rod system, meaning that it can render your prints more precise than ever before, especially the first few layers, which are most crucial to a successful print.
